A test used to measure the strength of the muscles surrounding the joint during its range of motion, to enhance muscle strength and endurance, and improve deep sensory reception. This test involves comparing the results of the affected side to the healthy side, and comparing the strength of opposing muscles on the same side.
The results are used in developing rehabilitation and prevention programs, as well as in making decisions regarding returning to sports activity.
