Renowned French orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Sonnery Cottet, a member of the medical team at MOVE Comprehensive Sports Medicine Center, performed surgeries on athletes Ahmed Sharahili and Ahmed Bamsaud. The procedures took place at Santy Orthopedic Center in Lyon, France, in collaboration with MOVE Comprehensive Sports Medicine Center.
These surgeries were facilitated by the existing agreement between MOVE and Santy Orthopedic Center, making Santy an international medical partner of MOVE. Dr. Cottet performed a cruciate ligament replacement on Captain Bamsaud to repair a damaged ligament in his knee. Captain Sharahili underwent knee cleaning surgery to address pain and swelling.
